_unFair: Limited Edition Risographs!

I've produced a limited run of Risograph prints entitled '_unFair', inspired by real life events and beautifully printed by Victory Press!

There are limited to only TEN of each, so be quick if you'd like one gracing the walls of your swanky uptown apartment!

They're printed in environmentally friendly soy based inks (red, purple and black), on high quality off white art paper, and each measure 21cm x 24cm (print size is appoximately 13cm x 18cm), are hand numbered, and hand signed by me!

Available in my Etsy Shop, here

Health & Safety for June

Here's this months Facelift Health & Safety Poster entitled 'Solid Ground?' along with the others from the first half of the year.

This week I've been working on the 6 for the rest of the year, which will continue to launch monthly.

Matchbox Macro

Following on from my last post entitled Unloved about toy cars and their ultimate decay when played with, I started taking a few other shots, some of well loved toys, some of utterly perfect examples touched only by those over the age of 30.

My toddler saw some of them and demanded some 'for his bedroom wall'.

Amongst his favourite vehicles is a blue, almost ruined British Leyland Mini 1000, which survived not only my own childhood, but also a two storey fall at the Museum of London (unlike his similar white Mini, which did not survive the SIX storey fall at the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh, thus ending up rather like the ones in the 1969 classic movie 'The Italian Job').

It goes everywhere with him, including to bed, and it's amazing that he's let me bring it to the studio to shoot it!

Unloved

Not my usual sort of entry, but I thought worth sharing...

I've taken some shots of vintage Matchbox cars showing what happens to them during their lifetime. The 'before' shots show mint condition cars, whilst the 'after' shots show the condition after both myself as a child, and now also my own son, have loved them to death! Two generations of children playing in exactly the same way.

Each is an early to mid 1970s car, showing their almost indestructible build quality - something just not found in toys of today, and certainly not in Matchbox cars found in Toys R Us on the Old Kent Road!

My son regularly plays with these classic examples in the sandpit and the bath, and they just keep rolling - literally.

I might reshoot and produce these as high quality art prints, if anyone is interested?
